Slayers 101

Although Slayers has been around for quite some time, it is still a very popular series among anime fans. The series made its initial, humble appearances in "Dragon Magazine," a monthly publication in Japan. Eventually, it inspired the creation of novels, mangas, ovas & movies, scores of toys, video games, and an EXTREMELY popular anime that ran for three seasons.

Slayers Anime

Most of the information in this collective will focus on the Slayers anime. Slayers is very well-known among anime fans as a highly entertaining and often hilarious adventure, mixed with a few fantasy elements. =) The show aired in Japan for several years, lasting a full 3 Seasons. The names of the 3 seasons are Slayers, Slayers NEXT, and Slayers TRY, each season being 26 episodes long.

The 3 Seasons
• Slayers - The first season of Slayers focuses on the adventures of Lina Inverse, Gourry Gabriev, Amelia Wil Tesla Saillune, Zelgadis Graywords, and Sylphiel Nels Lahda.
• Slayers NEXT - During the second season of Slayers, two new characters are introduced: Xelloss and Martina Xoana Mel Navratilova (who is named after my favorite female tennis player! XD) This time, the Slayers gang fights a handful of powerful mazoku lords.
• Slayers TRY - The third and final season of Slayers. A new character takes the lead, and her name is Filia Ul Copt! The Slayers gang joins her in yet another quest to save the world. ^^;
